thats the way it was when skiing rules and i were there in early january, tons of fun stuff to ski through, jump off of on the left side. Im pretty jealous, but Im very grateful for the good days we had in early january so i dont feel so bad im missing it.

Running up there late,I went to the ski shop across from the alpine on 184,front of Sugar and the manager there said that Beech was all windblown w/death cookies and ice and that Sugar had a lot of stashes of powder.Boy was he wrong,my car might not have made it up to Beech, but still,if I knew it was like that,I would have tried to get up that hill! That guy was biased against Beech.Lesson learned, never expect powder at Sugar unless skiing it the day it's dumping, which would have been Wednesday!Places that are good after a dump-WP,Timberline,apparently Beech, sometimes Snowshoe, but never Sugar!Sugar had NO powder,I had to go in those unkept woods to see any powder!

Here's to hoping it lasts...It will either get tracked up and skied off this weekend or beech will groom it for the upcoming crowds! Here's to more snow on the way the rest of this month and heck, march too!

Awesome, David! Find any rocks or drops under the lift? That looks fun as heck.

Love the P4's no doubt -- now I want to double down on fatties with some 4FRNT CRJ's
I definately felt some rock, stump or other UnidentifiedHardObject about every third turn. But that smooth beautiful cushion kept me flowing along .... it was like paddling down something shallow and rocky; an ominous feeling
