found out unfortunately that sony vegas, my longtime editing program, was not compatible with my new kodak zi8. lame. so this is my first attempt with movie edit pro 15! i'm also still struggling with how to best compress so much hd footage into a manageable file size while still maintaining quality. didn't have much success with this one, but i'll have it figured out soon hopefully. any feedback, good or bad is most welcome! consider this a precursor to hopefully a solid season wrap-up video later on this year. hope you guys enjoy!

awesome vid. cool tricks and great picture quality. cnet has the kodak zi8 rated as the #1 sd 1080 camcorder out right now. mid march they're coming out with a waterproof version, up to 10ft. (link below). i think i'm going to wait until it comes out b4 buying one.

^wow thats awesome. would be great for some in the water surf shots. i absolutely love mine for the snow so far. the quality of this movie does not nearly reflect the quality of the actual footage; like i said i still have to work out how to best compress! for the record, everything was shot in 720p at 60fps. 1080 is amazing as well but can be a little shaky for action shots.

Wow, and the Playsport is only $150 and does 1080p recordings. I wonder if there's a way to mount it to a helmet.
