WOW!!! What a great day at Wintergreen! Really wanted to get up there on Saturday after the 2' dump, but Sunday was all that we could manage with work, weather, etc. and it turned out to be an awesome day...

Roads were in great shape the day after the storm. Somewhere on 29 north of Lynchburg:

151 looking good too:

Need to stop by the brewery sometime on a future trip:

Wintergreen Road not to bad for the first lil bit but was covered in a few places:

Heading down to rock star parking:

Another plate bites the dust... didn't really need that extra few inches:

An awesome bluebird day:

They had a few nice jumps set up in the park for a competition:

They had everything today... smooth fast groomers and plenty of bumps to be found:

Lift line not too bad on the Blue Ridge Express ~ noon... on a Sunday:

Lift line at the Highland Express was pretty much non existent most of the day:

So Superbowl Sunday appears to be a GREAT day to hit the slopes! And Virginia does a pretty decent job of keeping the roads clear. Even made it home in time to see Peyton throw it away...

Looks like a great day! Glad you made it.

I had a different view at Mnut of that cloud "strip" in the bluebird pic.

Drove back after dark. No problems.

I was there too and am adding pictures of the moguls. Outer Limits had the biggest moguls with a narrow groomed strip down the left side. Upper Wild Turkey and Turkey Chute had some smaller moguls/bumps. Cliffhanger had been groomed.

It was pleasantly surprising that the Highlands lift wasn't any busier than a lot of other Sunday afternoons.
