I guess this is just another in a long string of TR's that seem ho hum and boring, which got me to thinking about when the last time I could take so many pictures, so many different days in a row and have difficulty telling them apart because the conditions are great in all of them. Then I realized this is the first time I can ever say I have been on the slopes 30 times and only once were the guns on. Thank you mother nature! snow this morning cleared out just in time for 10,000 of my best friends to show up. Enjoy.
The last shot was taken at the food lion. I thought it was kind of a cool shot of the top of Sugar. Going to buy chocolate! Happy valentine's Day.

Even though Sugar grooms everything down, that snow in those pics looks great, this has been a good winter, hopefully it's a sign of more bountiful winters! To anybody complaining about the cold, move to Florida!Come to think about it February hasn't been that cold,it's just right!

Sat was a shock to be honest. We were expecting partly cloudy skies. I believe the snow was unexpected. About 4 inches fell all day Sat. It was brutally cold and windy. We made a few runs but left for the house early.
Sunday on the other hand was absolutely perfect. It was like living the day in a postcard. Snow whaite everywhere you looked...with a backdrop od beautiful blue sky. I have NEVER EVER experienced conditions like this east of the mighty Miss. and I've skied a bunch of resorts with great conditions.
I've heard stories that this is the best snow NC has ever gotten. I believe it.
I've been skiing NC for many years...never seen anything like it. GREAT conditions! It will be sad if the resorts close in March. This snow will last in to April easily!
About the guy in the boxers. My wife wanted to know where his lift ticket was! LOL What a daggum fool. Skiing in nothing but boxers...and getting away with it.
FWIW, a great decision going to Beech. It was crowded. But Sugar looked to be insane. No way I would have fought those crowds.
