First day LL was reporting 11 inches of new so we hit that up.

This is what happens when east coasters encounter measurable amount of powder for the first time.

The guy in the background skied the chute, it looked crazy, but he slayed it.

Nice pictures.

A couple years ago I was trying to get home from Beaver Creek and I-70 was closed due to blizzard conditions, so I went south on Co-24 from Minturn towards Leadville. Right around this exact spot I saw two cars collide head-on just in front of me, closing the road for hours.

I'm glad you had better weather through there. :)

Epic. Made this same trip over Christmas break. Whereabouts were 9 and 10 taken? Vail? Kinda reminds me of China Bowl...

That sucks. Saw a couple of cars in ditches and stuff Monday after it puked Sunday. I thought we might not be able to take the drive you recommended but it all worked out with gorgeous weather mid week.

ZacMan1987, those were at LL off chair 1 in between cats meow and nix nox I believe.

Mad respect on the drive out there great way to get to know the country. Slopes looks great especially after riding slush yesterday. Garden of the Gods is one cool place and if someone says altitude doesn't effect you fly from statesville,nc and go to the top of pikes peak immediately when you get there it's like being drunk off of hypoxia hahah. Great report.

Nice TR, made that same drive from Charlotte last year (25hrs straight) and had an awesome time. We hit Breck, ABasin, and Keystone...didn't get to do much sight seeing, glad you had fun. Makes me wish I got to go out there this year.
