So I spend the last 6 days in UT, needed to burn through my days at Solitude, skied by myself a lot, and when I skied with other people I didn't get out the camera. Weaksauce.

I did take 3 pictures with my phone though.

I got to ski these (The Splatula, PMGear protos, 144 underfoot, rocker and reverse sidecut):

I was the only one dropping this chute/apron line out of Fantasy Ridge on Sunday/Monday, and ended up farming out the apron by the end of the day Monday (lots of lines off Fantasy = no go, sketchy, too burly for me because of low snowpack):

Here's the view of that line from the top, after you drop over an 8 ft lip into the chute. First two lines are mine, about to make a third:

I skied pow 4 out of 6 days. Maybe a couple more pics later. Coming back to DC from SLC sucks- I hate that last drive down the canyon.

So did you do the Fantasy Ridge traverse? That's a lot of work! (but damn that snow looks good)

How are those PM Gear Protos?

Really, really fun. I didn't know how I would feel about the whole reverse-reverse thing, but I'm a believer now. I wrote up a review on TGR:

Yeah, I hiked it 4 times on Sunday and twice on Monday. The hard work is all in the beginning- hiking the knife edge to the top. From there its a relatively standard traverse/hike out, but that first section is pretty exposed in spots.

I highly recommend doing the hike, if just to see exactly how close BCC and LCC really are. As soon as you get to the top you can look right down into the Greeley/East Castle side of Alta. Very cool.

Snow was great. Pictures would have been great if you would have sacked up and come out for the weekend :D

Nice TR EC..

I skied Loveland on Friday where it was puking all day and pow was to be found every time down... Unfortunately I decided to go to Vail on Saturday where the lift lines were stupid long, and the lift tickets stupid expensive.. Snow was marginal at best @ Vail.. A-Basin yesterday definitely made up for Vail, there was a real fun rock to boost off of in the Half Moon area(which I am in love with) under the Lenawee Lift. All-in-All a great trip, except for the episode after eating at Applebees.

PS. Sorry for the mini hi jack

Two more.

First chair on Summit, first one out the highway traverse to Prince of Wales Thursday:

Same thing Friday, except I had to break trail on the traverse myself. Worth it:
