Sorry this is late, but I figured this might entice some of you to make the drive up to the Cat this weekend :)

Beautiful Day! Temps in the 60/70s and TONS of snow. Everything was open while I was there including the terrain park with two rails, one box, and one roller jump. No lines all day. Pretty much ski to the chair...all day...on a saturday. They have new lifties right now who are really nice and played music at each of the lift shacks, which I really liked.

Moguls got better and better on Upper Omigosh all day. In the end several of us had carved out a pretty decent line, but it was always being killed by people skiing it who have absolutely no idea how to ski moguls.

Looking back up at the moguls.

HUGE base on Rock Island.

Alley Cat is getting pretty narrow, but it still had a good jump off the french drain on skiers right.

The only brown spot I saw all day on any trail.

Still plenty of coverage on Lower Omigosh and at the merge.

There was a surprisingly thick base on Short and Sweet and Turkey Trot, although they were really slushy from their sun exposure. Both the entrance from Lower Snowbird and Lower Omigosh were still open and had plenty of snow.

Who knows what will hold for this weekend, but if they are anything like this past weekend, you will not be disappointed. Thanks Cat for staying open later than you ever have before!

P.S.: Saturday put me up to TWENTY DAYS, five more than my goal of fifteen! What a season!

Those pics look like mine. I promise that I did my best to give you a start on upper omigosh that morning. There were probably 4 or 5 good skiers working that line, everyone else went around it. I left right after noon. When were you there ?

I was there from about 10 to last chair. The two guys in the wigs were really helping get a good line through there, but there were a few stretches that just felt really awkward. I am so glad that cat decided to not groom that, though. I wish they would let a bump line grow on part of Alley Cat next year.

I had on a green t-shirt, green helmet, and white pants. What were you wearing, b/c chances are I saw you. There were definitely not that many people around and people started to look familiar as the day went by.

Would you guys be mad if I came and destroyed the mogul hills with my snowboard?

hmmm, I am not sure I remember greens, but I am getting old. I was in gray ski pants, burnt orange long sleeve tee, shades (not googles), and gray hat. Ugly ski style as well, sorry, but I tried hard to get a zip line going in there. The two guys in wigs were ripping and were in tight with the patrollers. I shared a lift with a female patroller from Atlanta, but never got around to asking if she was on the board. I do have these skinc stickers on my poles.

were you on a snowboard or skis? there was one guy on a snowboard handling the bumps really well.

Looks like they still had good coverage. I wonder what this record heat is doing to the snow this week.
