The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

No scenery pics for Sun. Overcast so things didn't soften up until after 2:00 or so. But still worth staying the extra day. Most of my group finished their skiing on Sat.

Got some idea how much Marz Jr. learned in ski school. She handled a frozen relatively steep black run (Challenger off Supreme) without issues this morning. But of course she enjoyed it a lot more during ski school the day before when it was soft.

We'll be back!
2023-24: Wolf Creek in Dec, Massanutten in Jan, Feb; GT, Big Sky; Crested Butte; Alta/Snowbird in April.

More to come. Just got home Sunday. Alta got 47" between 10PM on 4/5/10 & 10PM on 4/6/10. It was a full blown blizzard complete with 75 mph winds. According to many locals I shared chairs with, the conditions weren't happening. One actually remarked," This sucks".The snow was heavy and wet as compared to the normally dry powder. By 11 AM the day after the storm, it had already started to set up. Most of the locals split by 1 PM (thank goodness). Supreme and Sugarloaf weren't open that morning and the lift line at Collins was worse than the Beech Mountain Summit! It went all the way to the parking lot. That being said, I cruised the blue and black groomers and had a great time.
