Gah it felt good to be back at Beech. 2 days at Sugar this year made me appreciate the quad that much more. First off, props to the people running Beech. I saw the cams last night around midnight and saw them grooming. However, they didn't groom this morning so there was about 4" of fresh snow available for the first couple runs. Pretty sweet. Also, the snow quality was great, as was the coverage. They also had a rail and a box setup at the bottom of Freestyle. The guns were mostly cut off around 10:30 too once it started snowing hard. Much appreciated! We stayed til about 11:30 then headed out. Bummed we left kind of early but pumped to go back Thursday. Next couple of days look kind of crappy weather wise so def glad I went today.

A little POV video.

Nothing like a beer at 10:30 in the morning. A PBR at that.

Today was the best opening day that I've seen in a while. Great snow conditions, plus some natural. I only had to teach one lesson today so I got to ride most of the day and enjoy the snow. SO glad we could open to the top for opening day. Hope tomorrow, and every other day is just as awesome :)

Good vid Kendog. I have some pics but my camera is in the car and I don't feel like walking in the cold to get it lol.

Ski patrol was practicing. The snow was great with lots of powder. Snowed all day with sometimes a little sleet mixed in. Visibility up top was nonexistent but cleared off down below.

Good to see lots of friends. Pictures later.

Was an Awesome Opening day for Beech! Glad to finally meet Pinkie, Carvebeast Kendog and see some other friends I haven't seen in awhile. Got there around 11 and it really started PUKING. Stayed that way until the sleet set in around 2-2:30. Nice to hit some freshies on the sides, especially with getting there so late. I got my son to ride the quad w/me twice until he twisted his knee a little bit. He was such a trooper, took a lunch break, took two motrin, and lapped lower Shawneehaw for 45minutes or so w/me. Just an awesome day and Beech is really on its way back. They continue to strive for excellence and I will be back.
