The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

My truck recently got new brake pads. I was not able to drive it for a while. To celebrate it's new brake pads I went to Beaver Creek. Beaver Creek was about 50% open and quiet.

I was prepared not to spend much money today. I stuffed my lunch in my pockets and 2 chai tea bags. Beaver Creek does not charge a cup fee. I chose Beaver Creek over Vail because Beaver Creek has a free lot. On my way there I think I may of saw free places to park in Vail.

The runs had snow on them, but the trees, where the bee's knees.

I found a structure in the woods.

This was my first time at beaver Creek. It has some cool tree runs and is very "stashy". This was not a powder day, but I found a lot of powder. I will return.

9 more days left at either Vail or Beaver Creek for me.

I cook the ramens in tall cups and put a lid on it. You must cover the cup. They cook good this way. Ramen works great for the mountains because almost all the mountain cafeterias have hot water and cups. Plus they don't get my pockets smelly and fit in them. I also bring chi tea bags and make chi lattes with the half and half.

I saw this giant building in the middle of the ski area. Is it a private residence? I wonder what one would pay to own something like this?

The backcountry access gates were closed at Beaver Creek. The park was closed too, but that's not why I went. I need to come back when they are open and with friends. I liked Beaver Creek. It was so quiet and there were no lines. I bought a tiny sticker for my truck's after market hitch. My truck is too pretty for bumber stickers.

For parking at Vail, just park at the golf course and catch the free bus.
