The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

Go easy on me, I don't know much about skiing Utah.

1. Superior is across the street from Alta.

2. When the term "touring" is used, it is usually a reference to backcountry trips, which would indicate no resort riding (in most cases). If it is just outside of the resort it is commonly referred to as slack country.

mmmoves is correct. That was from the saddle between Cardiff Pk and Little Superior.

Also- Snowboarding IS allowed at Alta, but snowboarders can't ride Alta lifts. It's common to see boarders in the wildcat area and Baldy Shoulder

12-15" of new snow in my backyard... which is awesome, since there's a total of about 10 vertical feet to "ski".

Yoshi, however, thought differently:

Relax, you'll be fine when you come out.

So Kim and I are good on steep green (never thought I'd ever be saying that) and easy blue runs now. I'm stoked about Monarch, can't wait to check them out!

Pics will flow like alcohol flows in Alta during snow droughts because I just got my dynafit setup from this guy named Dibbs, ever heard of him? He helped me out with some Lhasa Pows that needed some serious love so I was ptexing and epoxying shtuff there the other night.

But in short pics will make an appearance now that I can actually ski. I still don't have a pass. I've been in Alta for 8 days and I've skied 3 hours spread across 2 days, pathetic(But I do love ski free after 3)! Actually the snow is what's pathetic. there just isn't much worth going out for and risking a head jarring which is a big no-no for me this winter.
