GREAT day today. reported 7 inches, skied more like 10 inches; it was blower though... I got the billygoats repaired last night thanks to skifishbum on tgr, whop happens to be the man btw. He has something like 30 pairs of bros and dps skis, not exaggerating. Today I really got acquainted with the BG's and its looking to be a long term relationship, things are pretty serious. Went to the tram club last night, very cool place with some great specials. no pics unfortunately, the hardpack and crud and of this week really starved everyone for powder. I just didn't want to fool with it. it was cold too, so gloves stayed on. I LOVE ALTA

YES really glad you got hooked up with Dibs, he is the man. His work room is like a PMGear/DPS mad scientist laboratory. He has hooked me up with free shop work more than once, and is one of the better TGR dudes out there.
Also, this thread still makes me sad.

Yea I've met a few mags already, all of them are good guys/gals. I even kind of got my job at the snowpine through tgr. the manager is a mag, also a super cool guy. Today was just such a sick day. midweek pow in the early season is great. It wasn't enough to really bring many people from the valley out. I was waiting tables this morning, not many jobs allow you to get out the door in full ski gear by 9:05, collins line first thing this morning was about 7 minutes, then it was ski on all day. Then the sun came out, and it stayed cold. Untracked was had all day, pretty easily too. After having skis slapping around on crud and refrozen chunder since last sunday, it was soo nice to get powder and not be able to hear the skis or feel any bumps. It's easy to forget that it's still early season, the coverage is incredible for this time of year and everything is open. Still a good number of rocks to do damage, especially in the supreme area. I got tossed pretty good today and did a tomahawk or two off supreme.
if any of you end up working out here or spending much time out here, you'll learn you aren't as good of a skier as you think you are. After being used to skiing in NC then coming out here, its a completely different world. Change is good though
