well yesterday wore me out like none other. It was a bell to bell day and my ongoing shinbang issue was acting up, so I was planning on taking the day off, but instead I took the morning off because we saw that the Gad 2 white pine gate opened and we headed to the bird. I entered through keyhole where there was some untracked pow turns and it was DEEP. Easily thigh deep and complete blower pow. Anyway, I digress. We went out the gate and finished up the booter up the ridge, which is pretty short but steep. We did a shady acres lap and a lap where we traversed closer to scotty's. I'm not quite sure, but it just might have been the best run of my life. It kept going and going, and it was all in totally protected untracked knee deep blower pow. The weather was clear early on with temps in the upper teens, but at the end of the first lap some clouds rolled in and it started snowing unexpectedly with sun shining through the clouds. It was unbelievable lighting, I can't imagine a better combo of terrain, snow, and lighting. We would ski through pretty loose trees and then just suddenly pop into a pretty big wide open pow field, all absolutely untracked blower. It was so shreddable, we could go as fast as we wanted and slash turns and dive into the white room whenever; It was the stuff you dream about, turning was effortless and was like porpoising up and down in the pow. I haven't been able to stop smiling for about 4 hours it was that good. I do have some action pics I will post later. Altogether we skied about 6500' vert of quality fall line pow skiing.

ok here are some pics for several days of white pine daze.
the first set of pics is from about 2 weeks ago when I first went into white pine. The crew was myself, J Dom, Strick, and Snake and we harvested the pow. The only actions of me are from a bit lower where the slope was exposed and definitely sun kissed, but the turning was untracked and buttery in the sunny areas.
SR slaying the slop
and then we jumped into a pretty fun creek bed

The last two days have been pretty glorious. It's all about the white pine. After hangin' on whiskey ridge and preparing for the descent, we dove in. Remember I mentioned the untracked pow fields we kept coming across? this is what I mean. Check out those trenches; you only get that when you're in the blower pow.

and then we cam upon an untracked pow field that we all knew we had to boot up. It was a sick pow field, and theres no way we weren't going to hit it.
the woods
Snake
The pow field we found while traversing(where we skied)
below us
And then we slayed it
pretty good snow
gettin' deep

Today was another good day. We flew up the bootpack for our second lap and more untracked pow.
the first lap was the best because the sun started to heat some aspects up around noon.
Some glades we found
playing on a small cornice we found
in the woods again
Such a nice day today
a small pillow air we toyed with
And lots more pow and trees below us
More pow skiing
This is what a faceshot looks like
well satisfied from the feast
Sunset on a great day
