The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard
The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.
We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

Yeah, cold temps = light, light blower. However, rain crust underneath meant hitting bottom more than a few times.

Haven't been to Canaan valley, but I'm pretty sure there are some kind of houses off the dew drop lift or one of the greens it funnels in to. I believe they are right before or after the small tunnel off that slope. Not sure if they are rentals or not though.

There are a lot of rentals off Winterset at Timberline, before the tunnel. You can rent them via the Timberline Realty website: http://www.slopesidewv.com/. CV doesn't have slopeside lodging though, like pagamony said. You have to go across the road for the lodge or cabins... or you can brave it and camp even in the winter!
