Made it up to Beech tonight. A little chilly and windy, but overall a pretty great night. The snowmaking was minimally invasive, and it was my first time out there since White Lightning opened. I always forget how much that run adds to the experience. There were a couple of icy patches here and there on most runs, but Beech is providing a really great product considering the ups and downs of last weeks weather. The crowd was actually pretty big considering it was a monday night. Colleges are out now, whichI'm guessing was responsible for the number of people out tonight.

On my way out of Beech, I got flagged down by someone on the side of the road who had only a single lug not on one of their rear wheels. To make matters worse, these guys didnt have a working jack or lug wrench in the car, it was actually kind of pathetic. Most everyone here knows this, but do yourselves a favor and make sure you have both of those items before leaving for a trip up here!

I was up there this past Saturday- conditions were good and crowds weren't bad considering it was the weekend. Has Beech covered up some of the bare spots leading to Southern Star? I saw a few big patches of grass that they were working hard to cover up.
