The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

This is the view of Wisp when I was there last (06?)--

this is a view from thurs-first day 100% open fo the season which despite early snow fall is an achievement ( ask SS, TL, CV, etc)

and some wide bowls ( with unfortunate flats)

the main lifts let you ski Courderoy, Crumble (i.e. scattered death cookies), and powder, no closed signs only CAUTIONS

I respect this about WISP -- far fewer signs despite one of the steepest runs in the SE (the face)

And to the heart of it -- the best steep glade in the SE, I lapped it over and over , and sometimes from bad directions:

Steep trees without ropes--- are we in the southeast?

WISP is well worth a trip

those trees look like they have potential to be lots of fun, especially with some fresh! would definitely be nice to ride the whole mtn. without getting hassled by patrol all the time. i swear i average about 5 threats a year to get my pass pulled at beech just b/c i like to explore the whole mountain:cool:
