The classic Noreaster set up for the eastern seaboard.Low pressure off the coast spinning and feeding moisture into arctic Canadian air blowing in from the NW.During the day yesterday in a period of about 12 hours a foot( +/- ) of snow fell in coastal Virginia. The yearly average is 3.3 inches. The only problem, where I live is 5 feet above sea level .FLAT.

Organic snow and man made slopes are the only turns available where we live .The local golf courses allow for some riding . Rare turns ,and great fun but really just a tease.

The next option is the city dump. .The only problem is this...

Razor wire ..

And this No trespassing sign..

Wanting to take advantage of this very rare opportunity the fence was scaled .It was an absolute white out up on top of the hill with 30 MPH winds and blinding heavy snow .Very poor vis. and poor lighting for pics. But some really nice snow on the wind loaded side of the crest.

Cornice cracking in Hampton ?

Got some fun turns in but the lighting was awful..

Next day.... .Precip. was over and the wind had back off some. Skies were much clearer.

Methane gas release valve? And an obvious of view of where all the loading /scouring was taking place at.

Unfortunately the very top was scoured a bit from the wind over night but still found a few lines down

Here's the first go all the way down . Tried to hug the edge of where the loading began . But unfortunately the wind crust layer on top kind of slowed me down.

Booting back up in the crust track

A little farther over from the hip the snow was much better.

NASA/Langley in the distance

Ran it a few more times for some incredible turns.Didn't want a push my luck with clear visability + all the neighbors coming out and digging out after the storm.

.This picture puts into perspective how epic it was to be making long drawn out powder turns in Hampton Va!

Awesome! Much better than what the inlaws got in south central VA. We should of stayed in Raleigh a few more days for epic golf course turns. I even had new terrain scoped out...

Props!!!! Best homemade earned turns of the season by far! People live that close to the dump? I bet that smells great!

man, that is just bigtime. i'm surprised someone did not pull your ticket for jumping the fence to that closed off territory. i don't think it was even groomed yet. and i don't have anything like that around here. so jealous of your trash
