Today was in a word...amazing. Bluebird day, no wind, and lots of leftover powder from the day before. Couldn't have asked for a better day. Snow quality and grooming were both superb. In the morning on the groomers it was really dry and sticky and crunched beneath you. Lots of powder stashes and windblown piles all over the place on the sides. There was a crew of SkiNC folk up there today. Myself, carvebeast, and jamsandwich ran into davidski, yardsale, SkiPink, and Mellow. Mellow's carves are always ridiculous and I finally got him on video so if you haven't ever seen him ride make sure to watch it. Had some tree runs as well today and I finally poached the line under lift 6. I have been scoping it out for 2 years now and I was stoked to finally be up there when it was ridable and not completely roped off wink wink. Probably the best day of the season and I have now had 3 powder days at Beech. I've got 9 days of riding now for the season so a third of my riding this year has been in pow. So spoiled. Time for a mini edit.

White Lightning. Sweet corduroy.

Southern. Soft but tracked out all day. I think they are finally gonna let it mogul up now. Skiers rejoice. My knees hurt just thinking about it.

Just another cool spray shot.

The sides of the trails all looked like this early morning.

Great stuff and good to meet (remeet in some cases) you guys

The liftline video is esp. sweet -- and I recognize the trees I followed you into -- my skis are still stinging a little even though you guys had done the public service of exposing the location of some of the hungrier rocks

And mello shows how apt is his alias -- "the butcher of beech"

Great day, now who was it in the coat with the blue stripes?

What mello said. Very fluid
"You mean there is Two of them??"
"it's about 10 very heavy inches. I can drive it but it sure will be slow"
