The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

Went to Sugar after work here at the offices yesterday. It was good. I don't usually go up there except for the early season since I have a Beech pass, but I was impressed. There is A LOT of snow up there right now. So much so, that I was able to ride underneath the lift at the very top part of the mountain. Never thought I would be able to do that. Eventually met up with jamsandwich and his girlfriend and we made a couple runs before I called it quits. I don't have any pics but I do have a cool GPS tracking map and some stats about my last run from top to bottom there.

Here is the map.

And here is the stats.

Apparently the run is only 1.2 miles long and has a vertical of a little over 900 feet. I don't really know how accurate it is but I'd think it's fairly close. Also, me and jam got up to 43 mph. That is cool.

Wow that GPS tracking thing is pretty cool. I've always wanted to know how fast I can book it down Beech!

Does it account for the elevation change?

i didnt hit the very top part (kendog is a machine for hitting that, props dude), but i did pretty much every other lift run on the mountain and no-one said a thing to me all night long. my fave lift run is big birch, skiing knee deep powder through those houses is a feeling i wont soon forget

Yeah Jam that was the run where you passed me on Switchback. I can't pump on the flats like you with those skis. And no I didn't get any gruff. Not many ski patrollers out last night. Even if I had, it would have been worth it. Pretty sweet little run.
