It's 7am here, 8am CLT time, and I'm still in bed. That was a long trip out here. Used FF mile to buy my tickets. CLT to Chicago to Pheonix to SLC. Got a little drunk in Pheonix. Staying with some friends just outside PC. From their apparent I can see bald mountain at Deer Valley. Looks fun but since I snowboard I won't be able to hit that.

Got free lift tickets to the Canyons today. Weather is calling for low 30's kinda overcast but 2-5" of snow tonight.

I know there are no pica yet. I haven't started riding yet. Just wanted to get my thread started. I will be posting pics and video sometime while I'm out here.

Yeah, today was really good. The bad news is I don't have wifi for the computer so I can't post any pics or vids. Hopefully tomorrow night I can hit up a Starbucks and get online to post. Can't do much on my iPhone except write about it.

Hit up the Canyons today. Not much new snow, but hiked out on 9990. Found a couple small cornice drops, and some untouched soft windpack. Took a couple runs through the 1.2 mile long park. They had two different jumps lines and tons of boxes and rails. At the end of the day took our last run through k**** lupus. That would have been a more fun run if my legs weren't already burning from the hiking earlier in the day.

Finished the night off at a wing place to watch the Packers beat the Steelers.

Heading to Pow mtn tomorrow. Calling for 2-4" tonight and snow most of the day tomorrow.

Sorry about not having video or pics yet.

Marz, you can have it all at PCMR. The only thing I've done there is drive by it. We'll be hitting pow mtn and the Bird to finish out this trip.

Thanks for arranging for fresh powpow for this week! ;)

We're going to Alta before EC and pagamony show up later in the week. My ski buddy has never been. My favorite, although looking forward to checking out other places this time.

I just flew back in from Utah yesterday and Bird had about a foot of fresh after snowing on us all day Saturday. We found a pow field on Mach Schnell with over a foot of fresh since the tram was closed. We had to traverse like crazy to get there, but it was worth it...

Have fun!

yea the skiing is very good right now. I can't speak for anywhere outside LCC, but keyhole yesterday was untouched with about 10" of fluff on top of denser snow from the day before.

We hit Keyhole Friday and it was good then, so (after the dump) I'm sure you found some clean turns yesterday. Wish we could've gotten more in Saturday but the tram being down limited us a bit.
