The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

Patrol will enforce leash laws at ski resorts because it is the law no exceptions. But you are responsible for your own actions and choices, don't try to put bad choices on your part on someone elses shoulders. Ya gotta grow up one day, but in the meantime try not to take out anyone on the hill ok! Thanks.

Git em Boss. Watch out for that Stealthboarder Debbie guy and take him out!

My eyes will be glued to that one. Ya'll just be careful on the hills and all joking aside do use leashes, keep it safe for everyone.

This is about the longest the line was all day (at least until leaving about 1-130), and once the racing started it was much shorter.

I would think if you come out of a snowboard, you got bigger problems than a run away board...

Like Josh said, if you come out of both bindings being sued for liability is the least of your concerns. You likely dont have legs or the ability to walk anymore.

Unless of course your rocking the rental board with step in bindings. In that case youre probably more likely to put your self in a situation where you need to walk back up the hill. That said, I would venture a guess that almost all runaway boards come from people completely unstrapping both feet, undoing their leash if theyre using one, and then leaving the board unattended without securing it in place. Now, we could make all leashes long enough to allow someone to walk with it still attached(which will probably endanger the rider) or:

Make people responsible for their run away equipment.

And yeah, cool TR.

Sometimes a leash won't help as Scotty Lago shows here:

I hit a nasty rock on Oz Wednesday that took a chunk out of my new board. The right side in the beginning was super thin. It was better by Friday since they pushed the snow around to cover it up.
