came across this forum at work one day when I was searching for cool trails and insider's info on Breckenridge and Cataloochee for this ski season.
What I found were some really cool trip reports and skiing_rules' insane skinning trip out west.
I had never heard of skinning or anything like it and had to learn the lingo just to follow along but I've found myself checking back here daily to get updates and see new TRs.
I'll post a few of my own and glad to finally register.

yeap. daydreaming of getting out there all day. seeing the fresh powder and blue skies.
i've been checking the 10 day forecast for breck religiously just waiting on a "mostly sunny" for the days i'm there. as of now its saying "slight chance of snow". I'm ok with that.

I hadn't been to Cat since they opened up turkey trot, short and sweet, and the "glade" which I skii'd but was real rocky and lots of fallen branches.
Those are the two places I'm skiing this year. I live in Memphis, TN... so a ski trip is once a year. Went to school at UT Knoxville and we'd make a lot of weekend trips but now its once a year.
And lucky to make it out west like I am this year.
