Soft sticky snow today. Not much riding. Watched the game in the lodge at 1, watched the pond skim during halftime, and then returned to watch the comeback. Saw pink out there today, her pictures are probably better than my weak 2. Gourmet grilled it up for a little apres ski. Ladies, feast your eyes, take a wild guess who got spanked by the atp.

When did they add couches and coffee tables to the Beech lit line? Or do you get points for taking your living room furniture to the mountain?

I'm willing to bet that the bruise is from a failed front board attempt by Enton...

Wish I was hitting Beech today, but at least basketball is in the plans.

OK so here are the quality pictures. :D

Arrived in time for rope drop. The snow was fabulous packed powder for the first 2 hours then got a little soft until a lunch when I was skiing and the I stopped in my tracks (literally!) when the snow go soooo sloooow. Opted to stop and eat and have a few beers on the terrace, with a liitle music from the Harris Brothers who were great and watched the pond skim. Then listened to more music with more beers followed by an oyster roast. Saw more than a dozen SkiSEers including Scuba and finally met Time 2323.

It was sad to see it end. Beech still has a lot of base but by the end of the afternoon there were quite a few bare spots on almost everything but Shawneehaw. With today's warm weather, the slopes may have gone a few more days but by next weekend, the quality wouldn't have been there. Good call on Beech's part to go out on top.

Great way to end my season.

Rock star parking, note all the new snow in the lot.

Lightning looking great

Midway down Upper Shawneehaw

Fun at the top

Oz was sad

Lots of snow still on the peaks

Saw a few friends

And some gapers

Oyster roast ;)

Until next year

Good morning of skiing, then it turned into GLUE; good pond skimming. But my season's not over yet. I'm gonna hit Snowshoe the 25th-27th for the Last Hurrah. I've been there for pond skimming the last 2 years.
