The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

edit: just saw the youtube vid, sweet!!! looks fun. a bunch of my friends bike and there are some good trails and a pretty big scene in the triangle, but i've always tried to avoid it just b/c it seems like a money pit and i have too many hobbies already.

Not to mention that the Tuskegee Airmen hiked thru there before flying off to war.

it seems silly for them to hike when there's a perfectly good bike trail for them. bikes would have been much quicker

Um, ok, but how many of the American Military Service Cadets do you see riding a bike thru an obstacle course during basic training?

when you said they were on their way to war i assumed they would be in more of a hurry, thus bikes would be faster.

and if you're implying they don't know how to ride bikes on a trail because they didn't learn how to ride them through an obstacle course during training, well that's just ridiculous.

What time of year were these hikes? Why didn't they just ski? Snowboarding would not have been an issue because they were not being made then.

Good point^. They would have skied, but the mountains were too big for skiing. true story
