The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

I was Headed into Durham last week to meet with a client to negotiate the price of a renovation. I decided that since it was Friday Noon and beautiful out, I took the Harley.

Earbuds in and tunes on, I donned my helmet. With 40 miles to go in an hour, i had lotsa of time.

I am sure i'm not alone in saying that I am addicted to speed. Alot of we snowsports enthusiast types, skiers and monostix alike, are adrenaline junkies. Its in our blood. Well it was definately in mine that day. I got to southsaunders street in about 22 minutes (30 miles +/-) traffic was picking up and i had a nice man from NY get right on my bumper in the fast lane at 84 mph. WEllllll that aint gonna work. A clutch pull and a toe tap and a flick of the wrist, and i Torqued it out and away. well that just encouraged the man. So here he was back on my fender. Now who is gonna loose if he hits me???

So I again drop the gear, but this time down to 4th. a quick signal and i was off. Agressive driving at its best, except >>>> a nice brown manilla ticket.

A warning ticket. I smilled huge. I shook his hand before he said a word. he was laughing and reminded me of the speed. and said "Slow it down."

THAT!!!! made my Friday!!!

nice one! I've been pulled over 9 times in 2.5 years I've had my car. only 1 ticket. My car is a little on the shady looking side so I get stopped all the time.

Sounds like a graduate of the Teledave How to talk to the cops School; probably went for the graduate degree program.

Very nice, Doug.

Learn from the best. Seen a guy talk the police out of some solo cups one time so we could keep drinking
