The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

My wife and I spent 5 days at Whistler last month on a "business";) trip. Had never been there but had wanted to do a recon visit for a while and this just happened to work out well....

Flew into Vancouver and was then driven the 1 1/2 hours to Whistler. Here's a nice view of the Pacific ocean mixing with Glacial run-off...

Lot's of nice sights on the way but not a lot of pics taken....arrived at our cheap motel.....

One of my company's vendors was sponsoring the trip and had a great street party that night in the upper village by the hotel. Wife called it a day and I opted to take a hike up the mountain. climbed @ 1000 feet...

Nice view of the aerial practice area/pool....

and more hiking...

Got to bed and woke up early the next morning for my marathon meeting (1 hour long;)) and then headed off to do a little 4-wheeling. Thank goodness there had been some rain a few days before so the summer dust wasn't too bad. Tour guide took us on some great trails...some flat and wide and great for speed...and some nice and steep and technical...

Mrs. Heel getting ready to go

Nice views along the way...

poser...

Back to the village for the afternoon and an unbelievable dinner. We were bussed (around 300 of us) to "Lost Lake" which was @ 2miles from the hotel. We had no idea what the plan was for dinner.....when we arrived we were quite impressed...

PICTURES OF DINNER TO FOLLOW......

Back up the next morning for another darn 1 hour meeting......

Then off to zipline in what apparently at what is apparently one of the top rated zipline tours in the world. It was the first ziplining for Mr. and Mrs. Heel...and it was awesome. I have some video that I will post up in a separate TR when I can get it uploded. Here are a few pics....

The zipline was AWESOME (5 lines actually) !!

That afternoon took a little walk in the village....

The flowers were beautiful all around Whistler...

PArts 2 and 3 of the TR are now done even though their titles may still say "coming soon":)

Been thanked: 1 time

Wow. I want to do what you do for a living. Those one hour meetings seem pretty worth it.
