Nice vid, Will! Opening day was the 6th, as it was the day after my birthday. The 7th was Sunday, had better conditions, which your video looks like the Sunday. Doesn't really matter though, we all got to be on the snow.

I wasn't there but I would love to get an opening day like that this year, might have to make it one of the couple of days I stop at Sugar

I like this thread because it gives me a chance to say let's all make an effort to inform each other of what the first day in NC will be... and be certain that we all are riding/skiing with each other on that day. I effing love this...

I don't think you'll NOT know when the first day is happening, B. Now as for riding/skiing together, that may be a little more difficult. If it happens to be a weekday, that's where the problem will be.

seems to happen every year, but once again i feel like im more excited than ever to just get out, make a few turns, throw a few spins, and get my winter legs under me this year. weekday or not, im gonna make every effort to be at sugar's opening if the conditions look like they did at the beginning of last year.

Yeah, I've got 80 hrs of sick/personal time I can and should use. Weekday opening, especially on a thusday/friday, = me having a 3or4 day weekend.
