You should be able to see the image if you right click on it and open in a new tab, then click on the image to enlarge? This is an aerial shot of Sugar the first week they were open in early November last year. I had so much fun my first trip up I went back before they had to close and took this picture. It was a very unique day as the temperature was around 65f but the snow stayed firm all day. I guess it was because the sun was at a low angle since it was so close to the first day of winter. The snow was much better than the slush you would have on a 65f degree day in the spring. I highly recommend it. Also I forgot how much fun you could have unloading at 3/4's on the yellow lift at Sugar when the snow isn't deep enough on the ramp. You had to jump off the chair to reach the snow and if you miss timed it you could drop a few feet. Of course we had to play chicken to see who would wait the longest to jump. Respect to the little kids and snowboarders who braved unloading that day!

I went that week and it was great, indeed. I know part of it was the excitement of my first day of the season, but the snow was good and we had a blast on that hit where switchback enters into flying mile.

I was at Sugar the very first day last year. In fact, my girlfriend and I were the very first customers of the season.
