Spent the weekend in CB to shoot the aspens, but I managed to get a decent amount of riding in as well. The weather was perfect, here are some shots from the trails:

Crested Butte style traffic jam... puts I-25 in Denver to shame:

Climbing up Strand:

And.... coming down:

My dad, a resident of 0 elevation Beaufort,South Carolina, climbing up Lupine:

After this ride, he wanted more (he's there, a little dot on the left):

I woke up early this morning and got a 401 ride in before heading home:

Even with all the cow sh*t on the trail, 401 is tough to beat:

Tough to beat the view down the valley, especially in the fall:

Actual fall foliage pics coming later this week... the colors are off the hook in the CB area right now.

Yeah, I should probably make a Fruita/CB MTB trip down there next fall. Looks sick.

Very nice single track. Wish I could make a trip out west.

This is awesome. The yellow in those valley shots is gorgeous.

EC'er... next fall would be ideal. :) You won't be disappointed.

Balkey, I'm not so sure about a ski and bike shop in town- there's some tough competition already. I have other ideas for a business in that area, but I think it'd be tough living there year round. I like visiting 3-4x a year instead.

Another, more in-depth TR coming later this week... the colors down there were all-time.

It's great that your dad went on some single track with you. I'd probably have to wheel my dad out on a gurney, and right now I'd be right there beside him on my own.
