whatever it is now it should be superb this weekend
LUDOVIC -- would you agree that when Darkside of the Moon is open at CV, that is a pretty good barometer of overall conditions in the valley

Timberline ongoing PHOTOS
David-I have been pulling that very forecast up for a while now and they seem to be lowering the temps a little each day. I am just itching to pull the trigger on a trip up there. Right now I am trying to decided between skiing Jan 10-11th or 18-19th. I just want more terrain open to justify the 550 miles drive. Its gonna happen, it is just a matter of weather and more terrain being open

you should take yours there this year
taking mine up to snowshoe on Monday. Looking forward to getting on them. Be nice to have conditions like your pics. Heading to Colorado with them in Feb and March. Maybe one of those three will be good...

Salamander is usually open until the season's closing. Keep in mind that there is no night skiing on salamander though.
There are also several really fun trails on the mountain that are perfect for beginners. Salamander, while so much fun, is VERY long for complete beginners.
Wishing you the BEST of weather.

I may be wrong but I don't think VRBO rentals are on the Salamander side except at its end
The runs on skiers left run beside and between a lot of great rental units
