great TR.
those views are incredible !
KD i know you ride the 26er. was the rest of the crew riding 26 or 29 ?
i have to ask as i am in thinking of upgrading and the 26 vs 29 debate is mind boggling.

Hardware- three of us were riding 26" bikes, and one was riding a 29'er. I have to say though, that one of the other guys races on a 29'er usually, a Trek Superfly 100.
I'm firmly on the 26" side of the fence for the purpose of having fun on a bike. If you want to race or ride more XC, then I'd recommend a 29" frame. However, when I ride I don't really care about efficient climbing- I'd rather have the climbing be sufficient and the downhill part be more fun. A 26" bike gives you that, IMO.

KD I am truly jealous of your biking trips.
It looks like the views on the western side of the state are just as good as the frontrange, if not better!
Do you have a bike? We should carpool next season. KD kicked my *** out at Flat Irons a few weeks ago. I'm in embarrassing shape!

Yessir, that sounds like a plan.
Don't worry I am right there with ya. I rode Poor Man Loop (18 miles, half of which uphill) in Boulder a few weeks ago and that was intense. My legs were dead by the time I reached the top. But the ride back down was great!
