I'm a good snowboarder and I hate moguls. Last time I checked, riding moguls wasn't a requisite for being a good snowboarder.

but its a requisite for riding sometimes -- in the same way that the solid argument was made that this winter does not suck, it's just a condition, you deal with it and hopefully improve
I think moguls are like that, outstanding grooming technology has spoiled us but sooner or later you hit the naturally bumped-up run -- it's a skill set, esp. to ride/ski everywhere
not trying to preach, you know that

Can you be a good mt biker and not ride over roots and rocks?
Can you be a good kayaker and only paddle smooth wave trains?
Can you be a good climber and only go to the indoor gym?
If you can t ride moguls you are missing a seriously valuable skill set. If you can only ride groomers and untracked powder you are really limiting your ability. If you can't ride moguls, you should seek them out until you can. When you can ride them well you will enjoy it....obviously not as much as a powder day...but likely a lot more than a groomer.
There is an easy path through all mogul fields, its whether or not you can make the quick turns to stay on it.

I didn't say I can't ride them. I said I hate them.
EDIT: I Just re-read my original quote. What I meant was that you can be a good snowboarder and not enjoy moguls.

Anyone else reminded of Sun Tzu?
