Those look like nice conditions. Want2go2daSno, after 55 days do you get bored skiing Sugar? Is that where most of your days have been? (I think it is Sugar in the pics). I have never been luck enough to live someplace I could ski 55 days in a year. I'm just wondering .

I have lived here in Banner Elk off and on since 1968. I didn't get bored skiing beech every day as a kid and I don't get bored skiing Sugar all the days I do & Typically I get in 70-75 days on the hill. I'm not a snow snob. Yes, I'd love fluffy pow every day but that isn't gonna happen around here. I will go out in the rain if its not pounding because it can be a lot of fun. Different snow consistencies can be fun. it is what you make it around here and I'm not one to sit and complain about less than perfect conditions. If you're getting bored you're not being imaginative enough, right? I have learned how to snowboard now too, so half my days this year are on a board & I'm lovin' it. all but 4 of my days this year are at Sugar. the other 4 were at Alta.

great pics and great post. all 21 days for me have at da volfe and i appreciate your perspective of getting out and making the best of it regardless of the hill or conditions.
