Well MommehK and I finally got the chance for snow time together! We had a fun trip with nonstop talking from the moment we shared the car ride. I have been looking forward to this for more than a year. Unfortunately. MK's brain forgot to tell her body about the fun and she was feeling under the weather for a good portion of the time after we arrived at Cat.:(

OK, the first person I saw was SkiAtlanta! Renting boots! We passed each other several times on the slopes and i rode on the lift with one of his buddies.

The snow was in really good shape for the current weather trend, packed powder, and even though the slopes were only open to midstation it was a blast. Many people were there with groups and in lessons so not a lot of upper slope traffic.Left about 1 because MK was still not feeling great but the snow was still holding up well. Oh and another really great thing about the day... a free lift ticket I got for winning a SkiSE contest last year!

On to the pictures.

Finally on the road to snow together!

Snow up top was in pretty bad shape.

Snow down low looking good. Look closely in this picture and see if you can pick out JeffryC's son...

SkiAtlanta get ready to fly!

We found this crazy sign blowing in the parking lot...

It was really hard to say goodbye for now. MK will be leaving for Durango in less than two weeks so who knows when the next chance to get together will be? Thanks SkiSE for giving me the gift of this great friendship!

Great TR Pinkie! I was Bummed that I wasn't able to join the two of you. Hopefully I can get up there for at least a half day w/ MK before she moves, but will also try to ride with her in late Jan out there.

Instead of posting a new TR, I'll piggy-back here...

I can't believe it took me planning a move to Colorado to *FINALLY* get to hit the slopes with Pink here in NC! Like she said, it really has been a long time coming...but well worth it. My day there really didn't consist of too much snow time -- nothing like getting wretching sick for no apparent reason at all. Slope traffic was the heaviest I've seen this season so far -- there were quite a few groups taking up most of the slope base, but it looked like lift traffic wasn't bad. Base was pretty nice, a little packed but no crust at all. It was great to meet SkiAtlanta too -- very cool dude.

Gearing up in the dustbowl parking lot -- it was quite a bit windy at times:

Started out on the overcast side:

Pinky and her Free Cat Pass (and new glasses)!

Aptly named "Beginners Luck"...because I was lucky to be able to slide more than 10-15ft in any direction:

Leisurely Lapping

Silly Picture time (while Pink was taking a picture too):

Ho Ho....Oh...!

Cat Trackers were out too....soooo cute! LOL

Yep, spotted a little Junior Captain America:

Merry Christmas Y'all -- condiments under the tree for everyone!
