The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

its not really that subjective, obey park etiquette and make an attempt to use features in the way they're designed. don't side jump the rail takeoffs or pizza down the whole slope. it's pretty easy to see who should be there and who shouldnt. it'd be easy for them to do a park pass the way they have been roping off the entrance this year

It's not the jumping, but the landing

That alters social standing...

Riding through like these folks do it should be easy for patrol to use the same judgement they use on the groomers to see that people are in a dangerous position or are riding as a danger to themselves and others. If you can't turn probably stick to learning that before nose stompy scooterers

heres my idea: build the jump at the bottom so you can only pass thorugh by hitting and clearing the kicker, or riding around the side of the whole deal. this could be accomplished with: maybe a 10x10ft spike pit for a transition, 20 ft cliff drops on the left and right of the kicker instead of a wide sloped landing, make it a narrow landing that can't be accessed without getting super sick aire, and of course, gunther off to the side with a machine rife blowing away anyone who stops in front of the kicker.

it doesnt really even matter now, all the families and out of towners are gone and the place is empty again. which is kool cuz, ya know, my life = your vacation. losers

Have you seen it done effectively at other places?, I don't know I'm just wondering. Even if there wasn't a "test" if you had to go through any additional process to have a park pass it would cut out a lot of people.

I go through parks at Snowshoe on powder days just because it really piles up on the edge along the tree line but stay well out of the way and will say something to people who aren't moving out of the landing zones, esp. parents who are with their kids flailing around in the blind spots.

Jam's idea does sound pretty entertaining

seems to be working for app. any moron with a little bit of common sense can pass the test. for the other morons the 5 minute video would tell you everything you need to know.

maybe the fee for the pass is the big deterrent. $5 for the season is a bit pricey

Yawn, same story every season...

I've reached a point of apathy. I've learned the ways of the dodge and have missed kids within millimeters of their lives, but someBEECHperson better correct this before death is the catalyst.

for the most part they already do, i don't think any of us are worried about that. the main point is 175 lbs of yardsale landing on your 12 year old is gonna be a bad time. i'd even go as far to say i could take down a full grown adult without too much of a problem. it'd be a shame if that could be avoided by keeping out the train of gapers who are just passing through.
