So Monday morning I went to Brighton, and looked back at the Summit lift tower at Solitude where I had been the day before.

Brighton was empty as well, although why snowboarders weren't filling this place up, I really don't know

These features do not come cheap

Brighton had the most beautiful sled/snowshoe to accomadation. These would be something to rent for a week

Terrain was as challenging as you wanted

It was cold the night before, oh like -17', maybe -5 here and I was wearing skull-crushing rental helmet, left mine in SLC; life is hard on the stupid/carefree

Then there was the whole Millicent side. Conditions were really difficult. It was so cold that skis gripped the snow as if on slush, shop techs I skied w/ said it was impossible, no wax no nothing could make skis glide. You could not even skate on traverses.

So Mili was so stiff and the steeps were tracked and firm so you fell into whatever had come before. I found it challenging

Hey SkiNC it's another Powerline

Basically I will say that I did not like the while Milli side, but I did like the runout with unlimited small strange hits

The other side at Brighton is the Great western Lift -- it was better IMO that day

And such a sweet classic ski bar. I missed my five dollar bus and hitchhiked down for free w/ the manager of the rental shop who told me what I was doing wrong with the toe piece adjustment on my Baron's

I don't think they get the credit they deserve. Brighton and Snowbird were easily my favorite the couple times I have been out there.
