The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

Cold day, about 21 for the high with 10-15 mpg winds. Cloudy with snow in the afternoon. Snow making all day.

It was busy as a heck in the locker room building, there must have been a lot of schools out.

Pretty much everything was open except Outer Limits and Devil's Elbow.

Haven't been there in a few years. But this picture is nice enough to make me want to go....

It's been 3 years since I have been to WG and I used to go a few times each year. Thanks for the TR. Were the steeper runs icy with an overlay of new snow or were they pretty smooth?

It's possible I may be there monday w/ some friends although we will probably be at Beech. either way, I'm really glad to see Wintergreen hitting 100% again

Lower Cliffhanger had some ice. Upper Cliffhanger and the Turkey Chutes were pretty much ice free. Big Acorn had some ice in the steeper portions.

Wintergreen's snowmaking is spectacular this year. The new 5 million gallon holding tank is just below Big Acorn...pretty neat of a structure.

That's one ski area in the south I'd like to ski but haven't been there yet!

I recommend it, especially when the Highlands are nearly or completely open. As you can probably tell from my signature, it's my go to resort from here in Raleigh.
