The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard
The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.
We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

Excellent -- my infantile attention span thanks you. Hope to meet you both next time we're on the mountain at the same time. It sounds like you weren't as taken as I thought you would be with the new ski shapes. I bet your next trip out you'll really make a jump. As was said in your other thread - if you can afford it your own boots that fit well make a huge difference. Then you can easily find cheap entry level skis (like around $100) but good boots can cost

Glad you enjoyed the TR. As for the skis, I'm not sure if it was the shaped skis or simply the large span of time that has passed since I last skied. In 4 days I only fell two times. I'm pretty sure that's a result of better ski technology so I can't say I wasn't taken! I think getting correctly fitting boots is probably my ticket to better carving and feeling comfortable going fast. Glad you enjoyed the TR. As for the skis, I'm not sure if it was the shaped skis or simply the large span of time that has passed since I last skied. In 4 days I only fell two times. I'm pretty sure that's a result of better ski technology so I can't say I wasn't taken!
