People rag on Heavenly but it has some legit terrain especially the trees. The views are amazing too .

Here's a pic from Tue the 5th at Heavenly.Still finding lightly tracked snow from a small storm a week prior.

Since I snowboard and love riding trees Sierra + Homewood are my favorite for that aspect.

Oh yes... trees are great...I really appreciate the advice. I was planning on hitting Squaw for a day or two as well. Where did you stay?

We had a timeshare at South Lake Tahoe and went to a bunch of different places from mellow powder trees at Homewood to Double black steeps at Kirkwood in variable snow. Blew the 2nd clip of the steep chute at the top when I hit some ice and my knees were shaking but filmed the end during the cess slide out of there. The wind got a hold of the little 5 inch snowfall they had a few days prior .Still love the challenge of riding stuff like this.

Sierra is one of my favorite mountains. I got it on a 3ft day before and was blown away. Huckleberry is where its at!

god i love homewood. killer views from the park, great tree runs all over, and riding down the face as the last run of the day, lake views that make you wish you had on water skis. just cant beat it. less buildings than app but 100x the terrain. cant wait to get back
