The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

hey that's a pretty good story. you should run your own blog of ski adventures and misadventures. i always wondered about my chances if I did not buy a lift ticket at CVSP. I've never had my ticket checked, and heck sometimes, you remember, there isn't even a liftie. I'm not sure i can picture that cut to the old tube area, i need to get back up there asap !

It's gonna be the GAN someday (internet for great american novel, but hell you knew that)

If you remember when it was open and you skied to the bottom of Dark Side of the moon which is the left boundary of CV you had a run out to the little beginer lift that took you under the bottom of their tube run -- the slope just right of Dark is Prosperity -- half way down they had the run blocked off by an irresistible wicker fence that kept traffic off lower Prosperity I guess so they would not co-mingle with the tubing park

this is the old map but it doesn't show that Prosperity got chopped in half. Now not only is prosperity whole but the tubing hill is comp[letely moved (and improved) so that has increased the skiable terrain. This may be the best lift-served, sanctioned, natural coverage run in the SE -- altho I still think Devil's Drop at Wisp despite being short may hold the title.

so PAGAMONY -- did you get your Barons mounted on the Black Diamonds, if so how do they ski? and have you gone down the path of getting skins yet?

Nice. Still targeting first week of March, maybe.....

I did mount the barons on the kilowatts (see NYE thread, you replied to it :)) and all is well. I like them as downhill skis very much. No skins, but I played around with flat line freeheel while at Snowshoe last week, slowly.... Overall the package is still pretty heavy.

Otherwise, really good time at Fullsteam last night.
