I flew out to Denver and took the Home James shuttle out to Winter Park last week. Skiied Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Couldn't have asked for much better conditions.

Friday was sunny, Saturday it snowed all day, Sunday was a (semi) powder day, and Monday was pure bluebird.

I don't feel like typing much, so here are some pictures...

As close to first chair as I could get Friday...

My sticks - Head Rev 90s. 177cm. Loved em.

Our crew minus 1

busto

and just a lot of scenery and tree pics because I was skiing by myself 80% of the trip.

Eagle Wind trees

Lunch on the mountain

I took the hike out to Vasquez Cirque. I was sweating pretty good by the end of the trek.

This is looking back up the only downhill part of the trail. Can ski to this point, then its about another half mile of walking/skating. I chose to walk as it was slightly up hill and you couldnt really carry any momentum skating.

the goal - I'll admit i was a little nervous seeing this.

looking down the drop

looking back up the line

The payoff

I even found a little bit of Nashville at the Pub.

I had a blast. Skiied the steepest line I've ever skiied and found trees after trees after trees. Now I need therapy for withdrawal.

Great report RMac, I've never made it over to the actual Cirque, looks great -- and yeah that drop would get my pulse going. Love me some WP/MJ --have a NO PAIN NO JANE sticker on my helmet and remember:

such great snow on Mary Jane. the no grooming aspect of it keeps it soft and uncrowded, but can limit you if you hate bumps.

we stayed in a neighborhood called Rendezvous. It's technically in Fraser and about a 5 minute drive to the slopes. WP offers free parking and a "cabriolet" ride from the lot to the lifts.

Some friends of one in our group let us use their place up there. Luxury lodging for the cost of cleaning - complete with hot tub and access to their "club rendezvous" for overnight ski storage and drinks/snacks. totally luckboxed into that after we planned the trip.

Awesome TR, I love all the tree shots -- whenever I'm in the trees I keep trying not to crash, I've never had the presence of mind to stop and whip out a camera!
