The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

Thanks for the update.

Dare I say conditions through early next week are too good to miss? Again.

Tree deep??

Looks like the dusty winter wetsuit is gonna stay dusty for a bit longer.

Any one else going for it early next week

Snowshoe today (23rd) was nice. Early morning was cold and surface was tight. Ice patches were beginning to show. Tried some tree runs but snow was too hard so I stayed on groomers until after lunch. Best grrooms were Cup, Skipjack and Knotbumper (no bumps). Lower Shays was groomed out and getting icy.

Afternoon saw rising temps and softening snow, especially after 2pm...any ice was nonexistent by then. Best runs were the closed ones...under Ballhooter and Grabhammer. Runs off Soaring Eagle lift were really nice late in the day.

Now wait and see if this next storm develops....

Jebus, the forecast is insane --90%, 100%, 100%, 80% -- outrageous

it's a shame that Timberline seems to be sticking to a schedule, I can understand for lodging reservations and trip planning but boy did they miss the weather timing, of course it means Thursday might be a powder day too! I have no choice but to head to Snowshoe, if they groom everything, again, I will be dodging trees til the kick me off the mountain. I was supposed to be headed to the west coast for the spring this week, but it can wait til next week. I will post a TR hopefully tomorrow night.
