East TN Whitewater Club out of Oak Ridge & Chota out of Knoxville both run paddling schools in the early summer. My vote for "best" would go to TN Valley Canoe Club out of Chattanooga, I think they normally do their paddle school the weekend after Memorial Day.

Nice TR man! I was thinking about you the other day with all of this rain. Me sitting here waiting on cold weather, I figured you would be having a blast in your little plastic boat. I still need to get one one of those.
What part of the river did you run>? I have family that lives up there. Made me laugh when you talked about, The Fugitive being filmed up there. That was the biggest thing to ever happen up there, probably still is lol. People talked about it for years.
BTW The name of the Dam is Cheoah Dam.

Now that I think back, I believe that is the same river that has the cable suspension bridge across it. When I was young, my brother and I would beg to see when we were up there. Why, IDK? Seemed kick *** at the time. lol
