Short minute and 1/2 video of some silent stoke . Extended a Late midweek trip an extra night due to the forecast calling for some snow.
It indeed did snow a few inches and there were some good powder turns out there right at opening in the spots on the hill that weren't groomed overnight . Thoroughly enjoyed launching off the snowmaking whales in the vid clip and having soft landings. The white ribbons are slowly expanding . Lets hope this cold snowy cycle continues.
No need to mention the crowds being MLK sat and all . Will say I left the basin by 10 AM and hopped on the shuttle.

Yea its 1/2 speed. That white helmet on the skise home page looks familiar! Got snowed out of work today/tom in Va and came back up. Solid powder day today and it was snowing straight down. IOW Cupp and Shays weren't scoured and had powder turns top to bottom.
After several laps finally remembered to take a pic after it was pretty tracked . Shays was really good .
Will try to put together a few vid clips from the rope drop today at some point this eve.

J.A.N.U.S.Delivered. and still is Pretty hard to hold one arm steady to balance the cam and get the proper powder slash that us snowboarders long for. Here's a few clips from this mornings rope drop that had plenty of pockets of over a 1/2 ft of fresh.

Conditions look great. Much better than when I was there a couple weeks ago.
Off topic: I don't get what the point of a "powder slash" is. 'Oh let me cut in the pow hard so that I look cool. ??? I don't see skiers do that and they get face shots in pow anyways. Seems like that was more self afflicted.
