Some affordable options for a resort. we were able to eat at the moose for under 20 with a beer. and the wait staff is A team all the way. in town, theres about anything you could possibly want. Great place.
Booze within walking distance...good to hear. It's going to be a supermarket sweep at Albertson's...gonna be bolting through there while the taxi meter is running.

hey, what an amazing trip and great report -- I'm glad you got into a snow cycle
I may be stupid not to know, but what is up with that picture where the whole face is shedding snow -- I've never seen anything like that

Gettin' loose at the Moose!
Stayed at the HostelX one year and stumbled out of the Moose every night.
Same trip I found somebodies "glasses" case on the hill. Some locals were looking around for something in the snow shortly after, I asked what they were looking for. Guy says "I lost a case with my glasses in it somewhere on this run."; me "Well I found a case back there, but it doesn't have glasses in it." They showed there appreciation with a mid mountain safety meeting. I still keep in touch with the guy, always good to have a local connection in Jackson.
I've got so many good memories from my trips there.

morning started with avi bombs every few mins. nice sound. we rolled in to ranch lot at 745. the tram had a 3 load line and building. we opted for the gondi. I was able to get 3 laps under the gondola line that were just, wow. pillow fluff all the way down.
Ive never been to a place quite like this. its a beautiful mountain. but totally tracked out by 11:00 on a pow day. you really need a good local hook up to find all the stuff that lets you push away from the frothers. a few randoms from today.
