We just got a solid coastal snowstorm down here at sea level In Va. Temps were in the upper teens when the storm hit so everything that fell was light and dry . Local weatherman said it was even 14 :1 .or so

Storm total was around 7 inches overnight (very rare here) I highly doubted the coveted local landfill that I did a TR from a few years ago has holding. But it was worth a look

Dawn patrol entrance

Upon entering the "slopes" It was 16 degrees and I was wondering why the snow guns weren't cranking.

Unfortunately the wind got the best of the hill .After hitting the ground a few times I decided to only get one run on a panel that had just enough snow to squeak out some turns. Then go look somewhere else.

Then it was off to the local golf course to check on some logs I set up to assist in building a kicker before the storm.Yep gonna have to start shoveling to build it up some.

Only after grabbing a few quick turns first .

The snow was very light and dry so the jump building was a challenge .But with some help from the local sledders we got enough of a lip for an old park rat to come out of retirement . Watch out puppy !

Texted several peeps to get in on the session and no one showed . They are all getting old and lame. Plenty of fun with the local shredders though.

Josh is 9 and never snowboarded before but was charging on my 159 snowboard .

He didn't want to give it back . He eventually did and was back at it on his sled

Lots of fun has had . Loved the vibe of everyone out having a blast in the rare snow we get here :)

Straight air guy.

Ha yea he did look like a monkey in that other pic. He just liked to chase everyone down the hill. They kept trying with a push from the parents but couldn't quite get this bad boy off the ground with 4kids in tow
