I headed to Snowshoe out of greater Sax at about 12:30 Friday and arrived Silver Creek at 6:30.... my intention to change in the van, ski for a couple of hours and head to lodging

or not.... the side parking lot at silver cr. now costs $15 dollars -- I drove to my place and caught the shuttle back.

It was crowded, but the whole weekend felt like holiday crowds -- I think the 18,000 ridiculous passes sold are taking their toll

Silver Creek at night is one of the biggest selling points for me -- some more photos from Sat. Night after a day of snow and an off the grid powder run

So that's a mix up of night skiing ... stuff from the rest of the weekend .... first let me mention that upper widowmaker was completely shut down, not just half the slope but completely on Saturday morning for the Snowshoe Racing team. Then on sunday morning after a powder event they again kept that closed until noon--- hey at least the coaches got to tear up the whole rest of the slope-- oh that's right, they're in it for the kids -- Total BS

Anyway, random pictures

Monday morning I drove out and went to the Elk mountain turnout

Went across the road and up and really nearly broke my leg stepping out of my skis on a cattle guard (that I was already aware of), still it was good to get out some

Nice Dave! Love Silver Creek at night!

How long were you there - Friday - Sunday? Looks like you need at least one more trip to make your season pass worth it (hint hint...)

Very nice ! Ive always said to thoroughly enjoy the shoe you need to stay creative . Great to see you doing so and getting into some of the spots in your pics .As far as Ive seen in a few trips up this year the red. pass hasn't affected the midweek crowds .Only the times that were generally busy anyways( like Fri afternoons- Sun morn and Holidays). Going out and finding powder yourself is so much more gratifying than paying annual fees that allows you to be on a slope closed to the public during busy times
