We headed up early. It was 20, very windy, and snowy. By the end of the day I was hot and sweaty even though it never got past 31.

The meadows were a mix of wind scoured ice and powder drifts. Which is fun enough if your skis have float in powder, which mine don't. It was alright and I was glad to have been given the chance to do it.

Upper OMG was covered in moguls. Once again with big powder drifts, often times totally enveloping a mogul or two and leading to a "surprise" element.

The trees were fun. i stuck to wildcat glades. Logan went a less traditional route.

Pics

Early on, cold, snowing and windy

Patroller telling us the Meadows would be open in a minute and to take a lap and check back.

I ate it pretty good here.

Might as well get some pics after you wipe out right?

Lift lines became horrendous.

We were in the middle of the line for the double. This is the view up the hill towards the end of the line

And below us towards the lift. Logan had borrowed my goggles. This hood I'm wearing makes me look homeless. I really need to get some jb weld and reattach the ear flaps to my helmet

Just have a seat anywhere. Additional fun was had by watching people get off the lift at the mid-lift loading point and crash into other people.

I could HEAR the crowd at the bottom of lower omg

Conditions were great, this whole powder thing took some getting used to.

Vid as usual. 3:48 is a good part....4:15 makes use of a less traditional route on Upper Snowbird.

Live slow, die whenever.....
