Got there for rope drop and it was pretty much deserted. Snow was hard for most of the day with a cover of large granules (close to being corn snow). It appears the problem with my boots was fixed. Was trying them out on their new setting and broke my personal speed record without trying, 56 mph. None of the previous issues noted, so its safe to assume my problem is gone. There were a few thin spots on Mogul and Ober Chute. I skied everything at least once but stuck around Mogul for the most part. It was icy at the top with larger bumps, but was softer once you got past the top 25% or so, the bumps further on down we smaller and not as icy as well so they were fun. I ran into Roy Mercer who was there with his family. Glad to see Barrow County's skiers out in full force :)

Yeti is to the left. It's like Upper or Lower SNowbird at Cat. Hopefully it cuts down on the ober chute carnage by giving folks another option to head down.

Ober is neat. Sweet TR. I always used to about kill myself going down that slick floor in the lodge before they started putting down the rugs from the front door. 8-)

Better think about your future.

I almost went up on Friday afternoon, but I had some family duties to attend to.

Spent Saturday away from the crowds, here:

56 mph at Ober that's impressive, it looks nice I like the look of the layout there they have some turns. Must try sometime.

Well the snow was pretty fast on Bear Run, that had more to do with it. I'd been having a problem with it.

if u want to check your speed there are plenty of good free apps out there.
