The End of an Era...We are Shutting Down the Messageboard

The messageboard is now in read-only mode and no new posts or topics can be created. We will leave the messageboard up for historical purposes, but you will not be able to make new posts or comment on existing ones.

We have started a Discord server and hope that you all will join us on there. Technology has changed over the years and maintaining the messageboard has become somewhat of a pain in the butt and Discord offers many features for users, the main one being a very polished mobile app.

We really hope you all will join us on Discord and think you will like the platform. Use the invite link below to join.

Bullet points:
It was a long drive.

My boy got to try out his new skis and boots (nordica fire arrow, courtesy of Boyne Highlands)

I skied in a t-shirt.

We spent atleast 2/3 of our time on Orchard because Aiden wanted to jump off the same ledge again and again.

When he wasn't doing that his favorite thing to do was straightline the lower part of Big Appal.

The staff was really helpful, sometimes giving my boy a shove up the lift line because the base is a little low so it's a walk up hill to any lift you get on at the moment

There were some mud patches but who cares, it was fun and my boy's ticket was free.

Lots of firsts: first time for either of us at App, first time Aiden skied a Black Diamond, first time he's ever used poles.

Always great to get the youngsters out early and bombing it. My wife doesn't ski so I found my boys wanting to go a great "excuse" to have to go!
